Jim Raith is running for County Council because he wants government to be responsive and efficient like his small business.
As an owner of EJ Raith Mechanical, a plumbing and heating business, Jim understands what it means to consistently deliver value and service. He is proud to provide quality, family-sustaining careers for nearly three decades.
A Thornbury Township Supervisor since 2004 and Chairman since 2006, Jim never voted to raise taxes. He built a reputation for affordably protecting open space and streamlining local government.
Jim is a Chairman of the American Red Cross Delaware County Chapter and a Board Member of the Rocky Run YMCA. Additionally, Jim serves on the Cheyney University Council of Trustees and awarded the Media branch N.A.A.C.P. award.
He is a member and past president of the Western Delaware Valley Lions Club and member of the Thornbury Historical Society. Jim is a past board member of Our Lady of Fatima CYO and enjoyed coaching basketball, baseball and football for many years.
A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, Jim joined the Plumbers Union Local 690 in 1983. He and Denise, his wife of 28 years, reside in Thornbury Township with their twin sons, Jimmy & Andrew.
